February 07, 2008 - Memset wins environmental award
Web host Memset announced that the company has been recognized for its environmental initiatives. The company received the Guildford Green Award at the annual 2007/2008 Guildford Life with Style Awards.
“We’re delighted to have won this category in the Guildford awards. Since I founded the company in 2002, I have always ensured that we remain committed to the environment and make sure we minimise the impact of every business activity we perform,” explained Memset’s Managing Director, Miss Kate Craig-Wood. “The initiatives that we have been recognized for, are not only good for the environment but for business too, and we hope other businesses will be encouraged to look at their impact on the environment as well.”
Memset’s has made major investments in energy-saving technologies and, according to the company, became the first carbon neutral ISP in 2006. The company also initiated a scheme to get staff to travel to and from work on electric bikes.
