Since the market reforms took place in China, the country has become better connected to the global economy and is placing greater emphasis on science and technology. According to a recent conference on IT growth in China, in 2007 over 30 million individuals were engaging in the e-retail phenomenon, a massive jump from the four million recorded in 2004.
