May 20, 2008 - C I Host presents new back-up solution
C I Host, a web hosting company, announced the official launch of the SecureStore backup system, a complete backup solution designed specifically to address the needs of enterprise level customers, but available to all dedicated hosting clients.
C I Host states that the SecureStore offers businesses an enhanced level of security and reliability and can be customized to provide the level of protection needed. It adds that this backup system not only secures files containing vital business systems, but goes several steps further in backing File Permissions, System State, Registry, and SQL Databases.
It declared that it is available for all Windows and Debian Unix servers, backups are stored off-server in their NAS, meaning that critical system information is protected even if there is a system failure.
Says Nicholas Claunch, Chief Technology Officer at C I Host, "SecureStore is a completely different kind of backup solution from those previously offered. SecureStore is a collection of software driven solutions that backs up and restores your data exactly as it was at the point of your most recent backup. Your files and your system can be restored as they were before a failure, reducing your downtime."
"SecureStore is an enterprise class solution for a small / medium business budget" says Allan Brand, C I Host's Chief Operations Officer. "This new backup solution uses redundant hardware, and data can be restored quickly if a drive fails." SecureStore, Brand points out, has the added benefit of reducing administrative overages since backups do not affect customer's bandwidth utilization.
