February 28, 2008 - AIT launches "The Clarence Briggs Show"
AIT has announced the coming of a new radio program, “The Clarence Briggs Show”. The show focuses on the profound impact of the Internet on our lives and experiences of Clarence Briggs, former U.S. Army Infantry Officer turned Internet CEO of AIT and tyBit. Briggs has weathered armed combat as an Infantryman to a myriad of technology storms, including multi-national corporate competition, the bursting of the dot com bubble, and continues to sit at the helm of one of the oldest and most successful privately-owned Web Hosting companies in the world.
“The Clarence Briggs Show “is fast moving, provocative, stimulating and never dull.” That is how listener Joseph Decker described the pilot broadcast. “I never knew how much I didn’t know about Search Engine technology (the topic of the pilot show) until I listened” The live radio talk show is scheduled to begin in April focusing on how the Internet affects our lives. The show will debut on WFNC in North Carolina and will be available on AIT’s web site, as a Podcast. Plans are already underway for national syndication across multiple major markets.
“We chose Cumulus Broadcasting as the platform from which to launch the radio show because of their commitment to excellence in broadcasting, the quality of their listenership, and their national reach,” said Alphonso Whitfield, AIT VP of Marketing and Business Development. Cumulus owns and operates over 300 radio stations, including 222 FM stations in markets from the East to West coasts and the Caribbean.
