Liquid Computing, Inc., developer of LiquidIQ, has announced that the Abacus Data Exchange, a Louisiana broadband services provider, will use the LiquidIQ system to host and deliver enterprise-class broadband applications over an advanced municipal-owned network in Lafayette, La. LiquidIQ will provide flexible data center infrastructure and direct connection to the fiber optic network for customers of the Abacus Data Exchange, delivering a cost effective, scalable architecture for robust broadband services and unparalleled competitive advantage for businesses.
The Abacus Data Exchange will deploy a wide range of broadband services enabled by the enhanced modular capabilities of the LiquidIQ fabric computing system. These services include disaster recovery, virtual dedicated servers, utility computing, off-site backup, streaming media, high performance computing, and web hosting. Considered one of the world's top ten creative communities, Lafayette is deploying one of the nation's most advanced municipal fiber to the home (FTTH) networks and is positioned to deliver broadband connection to support burstable speeds of up to 100 Mbps for in-network data transfer.
